It is considered as an Equipment Put Under Pressure all recipient that
has a fluid under an internal pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
Given it dangerous character
because of explosion risk, they require several protecction standards
in order to avoid not wanted contingencies.
The trials are the
followings:
Hidraulic
Test:
A recipient is filled in with water and the internal pressure is elevated
with a manual bomb. The proper functioning of the valves and the absence
of fissures and waste is verified.
Thickness Measure:
The walls thickness is measure trough ultra sound techniques in order
to verify its resistence to the work pressure .
Special
Trials:
In case of doubths of the
recipient conditions, another kind of trials such as gammagraphy, Metalography
trials,etc can be solicitated.
