Environmental Impact Evaluation´s concept, is kept for those studies referd to the enterprise or set about life´s phases, as its instalation or emplacement, given that it is ussually necesseary for functioning authorizations obteinance, therefore, it comes before the enterprise functioning.
On the other hand, when it is about evaluating the environmental risks generated by the enterprise, as well as establish and apply an environmental program so that the enterprise fullfill the environmental laws not only when this one is created, but also trough out it functioning, we must talk about environmental audit. The study maight have local, regional or global reaching deppending
on the interactions characteristics. Regional reaching its about those works involving impacts that afectates a determinated region. for example the environmental impact study because of a dam construction, that will modify water courses and afectate, for example, griund resource. Local reaching its about those works that involves impacts that afectates the set about´s influence radio. For example an Environmental impact that involves impacts generated by an industrial establishment´s waste.
In Argentine there is no National law that determinates an Environmental Impact Study characteristics. Anyway many provinces and Buenos Aires City, had move foward on the dictation of standards and procidures for the making of an Environmental Impact Evaluation or just for reference point to determinate pollution cases.
An Environmental Impact Evaluation must go togheter with the control audit´s chronogram and the fullfillment of laws, decrees and resoolutions attached to: Gaseous Emissions, Wastewaters, Special/Dangerous wastes, Equipments Put Under Pressure, Environmental-Health and Safety.
